Who We Are

Agape Christian Dating (“Agape,” “we,” “us”) is a faith-centered dating service available on the web at www.agapechristiandating.com, in the web app at app.agapechristiandating.com, and on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use Agape.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide and information created when you use Agape, including:

  • Account details: name, email address, and login credentials
  • Profile details: photos, bio, faith information, preferences, and other answers you choose to share
  • Messages, photos, and other content you send in chat
  • Approximate or precise location, when you allow it, so we can show nearby matches
  • Device and usage data such as app version, browser type, and crash diagnostics
  • Purchase and subscription records when you buy Premium or credits
  • Advertising identifiers on Android when ads are shown

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Match you with other Christian singles and operate discovery, chat, and safety tools
  • Process payments and restore purchases
  • Send account, security, and (if you opt in) product emails and notifications
  • Show ads on supported platforms and measure whether they work
  • Fix bugs, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law

Location

If you grant location permission, we use it to find people near you and to display a general area (not a live map of your exact movements to other users). You can turn location off in your device settings; some nearby-match features will not work without it.

Payments

Android purchases go through Google Play. Web purchases go through Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Those providers process payment details under their own privacy policies. We keep the subscription or credit status needed to run your account.

Advertising

On Android we may show ads through Google AdMob. That can use a device advertising ID and similar signals. You can limit ad personalization in your device or in-app ad settings where available. The web app does not use AdMob.

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us run Agape, only as needed for that work:

  • Supabase — accounts, database, file storage, and related backend services
  • Stripe — web checkout and customer billing portal
  • Google Play / RevenueCat — Android in-app purchases and subscriptions
  • Google AdMob — ads on Android
  • Sentry — crash and error reports
  • Giphy — GIFs you choose to send in chat
  • Push notification providers — to deliver alerts you have enabled

We may also share information if required by law, to protect users, or with your consent. Other Agape users only see what you put on your profile and what you send them.

Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

How Long We Keep Data & How to Delete Your Account

We keep your account while it is active. If you delete your account, your profile, matches, and messages are hidden immediately. We retain account information for 30 days so you can restore by logging back in. After 30 days, that data is permanently deleted, except where we must keep a limited record (for example to enforce a ban or comply with law).

Child Safety & CSAE Prevention

Agape Christian Dating is committed to maintaining a safe environment and takes the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) extremely seriously.

Age Requirement

Agape Christian Dating is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. Users are required to confirm their age during registration, and any account found to belong to a minor will be immediately suspended and removed.

Our Commitment to Preventing Child Exploitation

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and any form of child exploitation on our platform. We actively work to detect and prevent such content and behavior through a combination of automated systems and human moderation. Any content or activity that exploits or endangers minors will result in immediate account termination and reporting to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Handling Reports of Inappropriate Content & Behavior

We take all reports of inappropriate content and behavior seriously. When a report is received, our moderation team reviews it promptly. Actions taken may include:

  • Immediate removal of offending content
  • Temporary or permanent suspension of the reported account
  • Escalation to law enforcement when there is any indication of illegal activity, including child exploitation
  • Cooperation with legal authorities and regulatory bodies as required
